Eco-Club students divided a pothos plant and planted three pots full of the pathos cuttings. When they are ready, the pathos plants will be given to teachers to keep in their classrooms.
The eco-club cleaned up the grounds of IHM. They collected two bags full of garbage!
The eco-club planted violas and chrysanthemums in the planter by the pre-k 3 and 4 patio. They also planted basil seeds in hopes of growing basil plants! The seeds came from a basil plant that is growing in the square planter from last year. Free seeds!
The eco-club's first goal of the school year was to make up cycled journals out of cereal boxes and paper. The students made over 100 journals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades! The journals will be used by the students in their science classes. To make the journals, the cereal boxes had to be cut, folded, fit with paper, hole-punched, and sewed. The students saved a lot of cereal boxes from the landfill!
